i would like to participate in this project. very very much.

“Droplets of rain on the window. Someone laughing. A busy traffic junction. Inspiration can come from anywhere and with Getty Images’ The Random Camera Project, conceptualized by Ogilvy RedCard Singapore, inspiration can be had through someone else’ eyes. Getty Images has, in recent years, expanded its product offering, to provide audio and video footage. Its brief to Ogilvy Redcard was to create a piece of direct mail that would highlight its wide product offering in a lively and interactive way. With 300 branded disposable cameras, Getty Images spread the word about the project and availability was on a first come, first served basis. Within two weeks, all the cameras were given out to the target audience of creative professionals in the media industry in three markets: Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. The challenge to the target audience was to take pictures of anything and everything with the cameras before returning them to Getty Images who then processed the photos and in return, sent them someone else’s set of pictures. At the same time, all images were uploaded onto a website http://gimages-sea.com/random for public sharing and viewing, which is now live.”

Animal

February 26, 2010

I like the idea of inspiring from children drawings and building a table for children.

“Animal by Quentin de Coster is the result of a reflection on the formal and stereotypical perceptions related to the world of childhood. In an attempt to identify the formal universe in which children aged five years evolve, they were asked to draw tables and dogs. The design of animal was then created from drawings and constraints applicable to shape wood. In this way, the furniture takes on a simplified animal appearance, which beyond fun aspirations, allows it to exist without being used. The outgrowth of the shelf which represents head, gives the child a convenient storage within arm’s reach communicating directly with the work plan.”

Brilliant Mug

March 12, 2009

Colour Matching Guide

Stumbling along with a cup of morning coffee is a great pleasure yet what is better is to come across something like this, to fix the perfect coffee for me. I came across this brilliant mug design in a site called http://ffffound.com and I want one for myself A.S.A.P!

I couldn’t really get how the site opperates, however I continuously clicked on some thumbnails according to my interest and as I sank deeper and deeper into this network I downloaded several works. I couldn’t re-find them since the site is complicated, and that is sadly why I can’t give any credits to the artist. Surely I’ll be using ffffound.com as an inspirational site from now on along with others.
