not-a-lamp-1

German designer Florian Kallus plays tricks with our minds by creating this ash wood stool that wants to look something it’s not: a lamp. If that’s not enough, it can also function as a coffee table if the user chooses.

OOMS

December 14, 2009

Studio Ooms in Eindhoven, Holland is run by Guido Ooms and Karin van Lieshout. They design beautiful and practical products. I love the humour in their designs with products such as the Road Kill Carpet and The Rocker, a universal attachment to turn any standard chair into a rocking chair.

Check out their other interesting products such as; solar birdhouse, wooden USB stick, ceramic dildo, goldplated staples, rebellious cabinet and so many more.
