Missed Moments

January 25, 2010

These are the photos that I’ve taken for “This will not happen again” project assigned by the photography course that I’m taking. It occurred to me that every photograph, every captured moment is a moment that will not happen again for it is unique. I came up with the idea that when something spontaneous happens and in panic you can not get a decent shot of it, the moment is missed forever and it is impossible to capture it ever again. Therefore I’ve named this series “Moments Missed”. During the process of taking these photos, I’ve realized that it was actually harder to shoot shitty photos with the feeling of “missed moments” rather than shooting decent photos. The one with the fake christmas tree is my favorite.

WALLS NOTEBOOK

Walls Notebook is a notebook / sketchbook with 80 “clean” New York City walls as your blank slate. Write, draw, paste, or doodle on these interesting and inspirational backdrops. You’ll be one step closer to being the graffiti artist you’ve always wanted to be . . . minus the jail time.

PUNCH Camera

January 19, 2010

i wouldn’t mind owning a PUNCH camera, though i guess it would get boring after some time.
i would take photos and then paint over the punched photos and end up with some kind of pushpin image. :)

The Punch Camera designed by Matty Martin.
The PUNCH takes regular digital images but allows its users to physically punch a rasterized image of their photo. The punched image gives information which can connect its users to the digital gallery. “This is a camera which was inspired by the loss of tangible memories. It is meant to connect both physical and digital while minimizing excess materials and the hardships in sharing images.”
